Daily Maintenance for Industrial-Style Iron-Wood Furniture

1. Regular Cleaning 

Regular cleaning is the foundation of furniture maintenance. For iron-wood furniture, it's recommended to use a soft, dry cloth or a slightly damp cloth to gently wipe the surfaces, avoiding cleaners with chemical components that could damage the finish. Importantly, avoid prolonged contact with moisture on metal parts to prevent rusting. 

2. Prevent Scratches 

While the surfaces of iron-wood furniture are sturdy, it's important to prevent scratches. Avoid placing sharp objects directly on the furniture surface, and use soft pads or cloth to protect it. Regularly check the furniture surface and promptly repair minor scratches to prevent them from expanding. 

3. Control Humidity 

Wood is sensitive to humidity changes; excessive or insufficient humidity can cause wood to warp or crack. It's recommended to keep indoor humidity between 40% and 60%, and avoid placing furniture in direct sunlight or near heat sources to prevent wood from drying out or discoloring. 

4. Protect Metal Parts 

The metal parts of industrial-style furniture are prone to rust. Regularly use anti-rust oil for maintenance to maintain the metal's luster and protection. Additionally, avoid placing the furniture in damp environments, especially during rainy seasons in southern regions, to prevent moisture damage.
